9.6.13 - What's a Body to Do?

What's a Body to Do? A Series of Personal Dilemmas in antebellum (period before the Civil War) America:

Essential Question -
What impact did the Market Revolution have on Americans in the early to mid 19th century?
Specifically - Slaveholders, Mill Girls, Journeymen, Squatters

Market Revolution - explosion of growth and opportunities along with changes in economic life.  Work was done for markets not just personal consumption.

TASK - Complete the sheet for your specific occupation in a group.  In this group you must 1) understand your situation  2) go over the primary sources and your take away from each source  3) Discuss as a group your options 4) Decide what you would do? As a group and individually  5) Hear from other people facing similar dilemmas but it different situations.
