Today we will review how to use your Google Drive Folder.

You will explore various sites on the web to create your own colonial gossip column.  

8.26.13 Exploring the Colonies to the Civil War

Today we will take notes on New England to the Chesapeake. Complete map of the 13 colonies - will be on unit test.  Essential Questions - What myths do we have about certain topics in American history?   How was England able to colonize North America?

Today we will look at the formation of the colonial economy and the differences between New England and the Chesapeake.

8.22.13 Timeline

We will complete the group activity from yesterday's class - You will turn in the packet when you are finished.
You will be creating a timeline that covers economic history.  This timeline is due on Monday.

Today each student was introduced to our new unit - The Business of America and worked in small groups to complete
1) discussion on the importance of money in our economy and world
2) Tried to brainstorm reasons the economy goes up and down
3) Interpreted primary sources to find out about the Chesapeake and New England societies

To prepare for tomorrow's class you must read and practice taking notes on your Google Drive class folder.  You will read the online textbook Chapter 1. 4.
